HEAT HEALTH


Extreme heat can be dangerous and can trigger a variety of heat stress conditions, such as heat stroke.  Not like the stroke we usually think of, heat stroke is the act of being struck by heat.  It occurs when the body becomes unable to control its temperature.

Precepts for Living: Just a Coincidence?

There is no such thing as coincidence.

From Latin and other ancient words meaning “to fall together” a coincidence is defined as "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection”.

Accident is defined as "lack of intention or necessity”.

Coincidence would indicate that things occurring at the same time have lack of intention or necessity.  Yet in a universe where a main protocol for living is love basically, care, having a concern, paying attention and giving attention to, God, others and self–if care and concern are the motivation behind the universe can there be “a lack of intention?
