Precepts: Just a Coincidence?

There is no such thing as coincidence.

From Latin and other ancient words meaning “to fall together” a coincidence is defined as "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection”.

Accident is defined as "lack of intention or necessity”.

Coincidence would indicate that things occurring at the same time have lack of intention or necessity.  Yet in a universe where a main protocol for living is love basically, care, having a concern, paying attention and giving attention to, God, others and self–if care and concern are the motivation behind the universe can there be “a lack of intention?

Or can it be that there is no such thing as a coincidence...that there is a reason for such an “attention getting event” that is motivated by caring concern more so than by lack of intention or necessity?

Often times when things seem coincidental, they're not.  Assuming a precept of “there is no such thing as coincidence" will stimulate your investigation into the necessity or intention behind such a “coincidence” that will help you. It is a good precept for living.
